Individual programmes

"Entrepreneurial Regions" (German: Unternehmen Region) involves six ongoing individual programmes that draw on different strategic points of the innovation process.

A successful innovation policy must create optimum framework conditions for innovations. It must take a holistic approach to the innovation process and make suitable funding instruments available at each stage of the process. With “Unternehmen Region”, the Federal Ministry has developed specific support measures for East Germany in order to satisfy particular conditions. The individual programmes build on each other and meet the different needs of the participants in the innovation process.

Innovative Regional Growth Cores – The programme : Date:

The “Innovative Regional Growth Cores" (German: Innovative regionale Wachstumkerne) support programme is aimed at achieving regional cooperation programmes, which have a platform technology – or the potential for it – and boast significant unique selling points in their area of competence.

Centres for Innovation Competence – The programme : Date:

The "Centres for Innovation Competence" (German: Zentren für Innovationskompetenz) programme develops outstanding research methods at universities and research institutes in East German states into internationally renowned centres.

Twenty20 – The programme : Date:

East Germany has outstanding economic and scientific competences. The "Twenty20 – Partnership for Innovation" (German: Zwanzig20 – Partnerschaft für Innovation) programme develops this for the future through systematic national and interdisciplinary collaboration.

InnoProfile – The programme : Date:

The “InnoProfile” programme and its follow-up “InnoProfile-Transfer” link young researchers with regional businesses and thus systematically strengthen the ability of the East German economy to innovate.

GC Potential – The programme : Date:

"GC Potential" (German: WK Potential) aims to make current research results from universities and research institutes useable for regional companies more quickly.
